A lot of people are led to think that vehicles purchased new from a dealer must have the services carried out at an approved manufacturer’s dealer. In Australia, the ACCC have consistently confirmed that under Australian Law, consumers have the right to have their car services carried out by a mechanic or service centre of their choice. The ACCC have confirmed that even if a log book states “log books must be carried out by an authorised dealer only that within Australia” this does not legally apply.

At Solid Mechanical and Engineering we are able to conduct any necessary service on your vehicle to ensure it is performing as needed and as per the manufacturer and dealer recommendations. We will stamp and sign your log book to maintain the vehicle’s warranty.
